Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC)
Purpose
The purpose of the Institutional Biosafety and Chemical Safety Committee is to oversee, administer, and review the responsibilities for laboratory protocols, processes, and procedures that involve nucleic acids and hazardous biomedical materials. The Committee also operates as the institutional chemical safety committee to develop policies for the acquisition, safe handling and storage of hazardous chemical materials that require oversight under local, state, and federal guidelines.

The Arkansas Colleges of Health Education (ACHE) Office of Grant Management is dedicated to upholding the highest standards of integrity, transparency, and accountability in all research and scholarly activities. Specifically, 42 CFR 50.604(a) mandates that an institution maintain an up-to-date, written, and enforced Financial Conflict of Interest (FCOI) policy and make it publicly available on an accessible website.
