ACHE Research Mission

To utilize innovative research and scientific collaborations for the advancement of health and wellness in our communities and to train highly skilled and compassionate health workers.

To achieve our core research objectives, ACHE remains committed to offering cutting-edge infrastructure and support services to our faculty and students. In 2021, ACHE acquired the property that now houses the ACHE Research Institute Health and Wellness Center (RIHWC). This acquisition allowed us to significantly enhance our research capabilities, expanding our facilities from 3,500 square feet to over 150,000 square feet. This growth has facilitated the development of state-of-the-art spaces for Translational Research, the Biomedical Research Center, the Clinical Research Center, and the Center for Rehabilitation Research.
ACHE’s Translational Research is structured into five specialized centers, each making a profound impact not only on the people of Arkansas but also on communities around the globe. Our mission is to attract the most innovative faculty who will not only educate our students in the classroom but also guide them through hands-on research experiences. This approach ensures that students can directly apply their classroom knowledge to real-world research challenges. We understand that research is a constantly evolving field with new contributors emerging every day. At the RIHWC, we offer dedicated space for Biomedical and Pharmaceutical companies to collaborate closely with our faculty and students across all five of our centers. This integration fosters innovation and enhances our collective research efforts.

To bolster the research endeavors of our faculty and staff, the ACHE Office of Research provides stipends for students across our programs, enabling them to dedicate time to faculty-mentored research projects. Additionally, our Office of Grant Management offers comprehensive support to faculty and staff, covering both pre-award and post-award needs. New ACHE faculty launching their research careers have the opportunity to apply for and receive a fully funded SEED grant from ACHE, designed to kickstart their research projects.
