ARCOM & MSB Students
SUMMER RESEARCH
ACHE provides opportunities for students to pursue scientific research and scholarly activities. During the first-year curriculum, ARCOM and MSB students receive formal training in research philosophy, ethics, statistics, and clinical practice research.
As a requirement, students must complete a CITI online training in:
- Responsible Conduct of Research
- Human Subject Research
- Blood Borne Pathogens
- Conflict of Interest.
Each spring, students are invited to apply for a summer research stipend (between the 1st and 2nd year) through the college-wide Student Research Application.
To qualify, students must be in good academic standing and must complete an application that requires the following descriptions:
- Past research experience including time invested, techniques utilized and contact information from previous research supervisors,
- Research topics of interest
- Preference for ARCOM faculty mentors
Faculty mentors review applications and make recommendations to the ACHE Research and Grants Committee as well as the Office of Research. Recipients of the award are notified in late spring of each year.

STUDENT OSTEOPATHIC ASSOCIATION FOR RESEARCH (SOAR)
The Student Osteopathic Association for Research (SOAR) is a student-led organization that brings together students passionate about inquiry and innovation, providing opportunities to engage in research projects, share findings, and explore diverse disciplines. Through workshops, mentorship, and hands-on experience, members develop critical skills and connect with faculty and community partners.
