Tissue Sharing
Animal tissue sharing in the lab involves the responsible distribution and use of tissue samples between researchers to support scientific discovery while ensuring ethical guidelines and animal welfare standards are upheld. Proper documentation and approval are required for all tissue sharing, ensuring transparency, compliance with regulatory policies, and respect for the scientific integrity of the research.
This program can help ACHE reduce the number of animals used in research as well as provide tissue at no cost to participating programs. The Tissue Sharing Programing allows investigators to collect fresh tissue from other researchers without euthanizing additional animals.
